A fan fiction writer who wrote a novel based on “The Lord of the Rings” series is suing Amazon and the estate of “The Lord of the Rings” author J.R.R. Tolkien for copyright infringement. The fan fiction writer, whose novel is registered with the US Copyright office, claims Amazon’s show “The Lord of the Rings:The Rings of Power” has similarities to his work.
