Elon Musk has threatened to sue Microsoft, claiming that the tech giant has used data from his social media company without permission. Musk made the accusation in a tweet, stating that Microsoft had “trained illegally using Twitter data”. He did not provide further details or evidence to support his claim.
The dispute arose after Microsoft announced that it would no longer support Twitter on its advertising platform, prompting Musk’s angry response. Musk has previously taken measures to boost Twitter’s finances, including charging users for verification and cutting the company’s workforce by around 80%. Despite concerns about content moderation on the site, he remains optimistic about Twitter’s future, stating that it could be profitable by Q2 2023 and that he would be willing to sell the company to the right buyer.
